When working with heavier yarn sometimes its harder for the fiber to sit where it should on the cylinder - by placing your pastry blender heel forks on parts of your knitting it can help keep knitting where it needs to stay for all things to function correctly. Here I am creating a split ring regular cast on bonnet using the heel forks to continue to hold down the added split rings on the inside of the work.
